Event-driven synchronization for Excel Functions integrations
Jama Connect Interchange uses webhooks to detect supported changes and process Excel Functions integrations sooner than scheduled polling alone.
How it works
For each configured Jama Connect tenant, Jama Connect Interchange automatically listens for supported item and relationship events. When a change occurs, Jama Connect Interchange captures the event and starts the corresponding update workflow. Durable event handling and automatic retries help keep updates moving.
Requirements and setup
Event-driven synchronization requires Jama Connect Interchange 2.0 or later, Jama Connect 9.40 or later, and a Jama Connect service account and connector for each tenant. For setup instructions, see Setting up a Jama Connect service account and Jama Connect Interchange connector.
After you set up the service account and connector, no additional configuration is required. You don’t need to configure any webhook settings in Jama Connect Interchange.
Fallback processing
If a tenant doesn’t have a Connected Service connector or webhook prerequisites are unavailable, the integration checks for changes according to its Sync Frequency setting.
