Export Jama Connect data to a ReqIF file
Export items, relationships, and other objects from Jama Connect to a ReqIF file.
You can export the following types of datasets from Jama Connect:
Container or location-based dataasets (such as sets, components, or an entire project
Baselines
Filters
To export data to a ReqIF file:
On the Conversations page, select an existing conversation to use for the export, or create a new conversation. For more information, see Create a new ReqIF conversation.
In the conversation, select the Export tab, then in the Export settings section, select Configure to open the Configure Export Settings wizard.
On the Select Location page, select the Jama Connect container, baseline, or fileter that contains the sets you want to export.
If you selected Container, use the transfer list on the Select Sets page to choose which Jama Connect sets to include in the export, then select Confirm.
The sets are selected and the wizard closes. On the Export tab, data mapping fields are automatically generated on the lower half of the page. This process can take a few minutes to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the export.
On the Item Types tab, set the ON/OFF toggle to OFF for any item types you don’t want to export, then select Save.
On the Fields tab, set the ON/OFF toggle to OFF for any field values you don't want to export, then select Save.
If your export contains multiple item types, repeat this step for each item type listed the left navigation bar.
On the Relationships tab, set the ON/OFF toggle to OFF for any item types you don’t want to export, then select Save.
Select Initiate Export to start the export.
Select the Logs tab to check the status of the export.
A download link to the generated ReqIF file is displayed in the log when the export is complete.
Note
If the items you are exporting include attachments or embedded images, a ReqIFz file is generated that includes both the ReqIF file and the accompanying attachments or images.
If the items you are exporting don’t include attachments or embedded images, a ReqIF file is generated.
Select the link to download the ReqIF or ReqIFz file to your computer.
