Jama Connect Interchange Help

Integrations

An integration links two connectors.

For example:

  • One Jama Connect connector to one Jira connector

  • One Jama Connect connector to one Excel template

For each integration, the admin defines rules to specify when new items are created and how data flows between those items.

Data can flow in both directions between connectors or it can be limited to flow in only one direction.

Once items are linked in both systems, the admin can control the flow of the individual fields mapped between the two items.

Additional rules can be applied to each field mapping, providing further logic and transformation capabilities. Also, special rules are enforced for fields that are marked as read-only or are required to streamline the setup process.

The process consists of tasks for your integration:

Connect access
  • Admins can access all integrations.

  • Non-admin users can access only integrations whose connectors are marked as global or are owned by other non-admin users.

  • If an Integration has one connector that the non-admin can access (a global Connector for a Connect instance) and one connector that the non-admin can't access (for example, a Jira Cloud connector owned by someone else), the non-admin user can't access that integration.
